Our Story

The Grand Restaurant Group is the realization of CEO Sandra DiCicco's vision of what food service should be. For nearly a decade, her collection of homestyle and fine dining restaurants has served California uniquely crafted dishes in comfort and style. 

Sandra believes that food is a family affair. Her love for cooking grew from family traditions. As a girl, Sandra delighted in exploring family recipes. Upon marrying into the DiCicco family, she immersed herself in the discovery of Italian cuisine under the tutelage of Mama DiCicco.  After spending decades managing the Central Valley's most cherished family heirloom, Sandra expanded her blossoming family of restaurants to San Diego. Other ventures Sandy has overseen include the new coffee brand, Lava Lei and a line of gourmet, keto-friendly sauces, Hungry Squirrel.

Today Sandra shares her love for the culinary arts with families and friends from across the Golden State. Every GRG restaurant is rooted in family traditions. The first DiCicco's was founded by Mama and Papa DiCicco in 1956 and has been providing our communities with homestyle Italian cooking ever since. Our newer restaurants are all named after family members, and feature ingredients sourced from Sandra's family ranch. Bellamy's is named after Sandra's niece, while Nick & G's is named after her children Nicola and Gianina, as is Giaola Italian Kitchen.

GRG's culinary experiences are carefully designed to promote togetherness through warm atmospheres, fresh food, and impeccable service.

The moment guests step through our door they'll be welcomed by our restaurants' warm, inviting decor. While the unobserving eye may not notice the subtleties of our design work, each guest will feel a profound sense of belonging. Each restaurant's unique design blends the need for comfort with exciting and thought-provoking décor.

At GRG we pride ourselves in our specialty dishes. Each recipe features freshly sourced ingredients from quality vendors. Some ingredients are so fresh, and so local, that they're sourced from Sandra's family ranch, just up the road. Every menu item is crafted by our master chefs to Sandra's high standards. At GRG, service reigns supreme. Our top-rate staff makes guests feel like family, through fast, personable service.
